My first overt act in the transition from a career in accounting to creative writing was the purchase of Strunk & White’s The Elements of Style. Small and unassuming, the book resided handily on the shelf above my desk to guide me through my next steps: graduate level courses in writing, then studying at Grub Street in Boston, until finally completing a draft of Indigo Child (my young adult novel). While I follow the ever-hopeful path to publication, I’ve started my second book, a futuristic, politically and culturally-inspired novel.

My husband and I live in our cozy empty nest south of Boston.
